Hard to believe it, but if NIU wins today the Huskies and Cards will be perched atop the MAC West standings in a tie. Not that it means a whole lot since the division winner seeding priority went away awhile back, but even taking that into account, the winner of this game will at least be tied for the number 2 spot in the entire conference. (a 2 way tie between NIU/BSU if Akron beats Ohio, or a 3-way tie between NIU/BSU/Ohio if Ohio upsets Akron today. I think it is a little deceiving because NIU has already played the easy part of their schedule and has several near automatic losses coming up with games @ Buffalo, @ CMU, and @ EMU. This conference certainly has beaten up on itself outside of the Zips. I guess at this point we root for Akron in every game they play for our seeding.

Miami, Kent St and Akron are game NIU should've won. I believe they should currently be 8-1. I still haven't recovered from the Akron collapse and I have no faith the team has either. EMU beats Huskies today. Buffalo is getting hot at the right time. 10-8 will get you a 3-4 seed. Huskies finish 9-9 or 18-8.

We end the home losing streak. Huskies by 6.

I just would be so frustrated if I was an EMU fan. I think they have the most talent in the conference but their key players just go into la la land way too often
