Absolutely!
And just to be sure, there is a Vice President department at WMU who are responsible to monitor all of that (respect, dignity, equality) and much more. I have it on good authority Kalamazoo and WMU are recognized nationally for leadership in these matters. So yeah, it is a good thing for a candidate to affirm.
