Quote:Officials in Seattle approved the nation’s first “safe-injection” sites for illegal drug users Friday.
The sites offer illegal drug users clean needles, medical supervision, and quick access to drugs that reverse the effects of an overdose, the Washington Post reported.

If it includes counseling, interdiction and offered rehab to these people each time? I might go along with it. They are sick and need help. It gets to the point that they continue to use because of the fear of getting violently sick from withdrawl even though many want to kick it. They just are not strong enough to go through with it. It is simply a plague.

I believe that is how Vancouver handles it, I would much prefer handling this from a medical perspective.

Better they get their fix where you can be helped vs. in an alley or an apartment where you can be dead for a day or two before you are found. Having human interaction where people do not judge you like the world does may help them one day kick the habit.

I get the safety aspect of this and I approve of that part fully...but... trying to actually do something about their addiction seems reasonable...especially since public funds are being used for this. If this was a private initiative? None of my business.

Yup.

The latest example of the leftists trying to mainstream degenerate behavior.
