Defensive tackles often seem to be a topic of conversation on this board, and coaches will tell you they might be the toughest position to recruit. We have quite a few, so what do you think?

This was definitely a significant need. I felt UT had some decent size guys working through the system. I was not sure with the loss of Hester how UT stacked up. It was a huge question mark for me. The interesting question is who within the system will really make a difference (Ross, Matthews, Childress, Davis, Hood etc..). I'd really like to believe a couple of these guys will end up key. It was obvious on signing day the coaches had this position clearly in mind. They really brought in some big body run stuffing guys that look to be pretty disruptive.

I like it. I feel the coaches should be pretty happy with where UT sits on DT. Having a Big Grad Transfer and JC Transfer is key as well.

Lots of depth. But a few returning guys who are a little underweight for my liking of a mean and beefy defensive tackle.

I'm hopeful that Childress is making huge gains in the weight room this offseason. He had a lot of playing xp this past season as just a freshman, he could be a big time player for us by his senior year.
