The MAC has some work to do
The SEC office released it's 2015-2016 revenue distribution among the 14 SEC institutions. The total revenue was $584.2 Million or approximately $40.4 Million per school...EXCLUDING bowl distribution money. Sheesh. The Power Conferences are just on another planet lol.

How does that compare to MAC, Sunbelt and AAC?

(only slightly facetious)

While this post highlights the disparity , it almost makes me even more proud to be a fan of this conference. Even with that enormous resource disparity, MAC is much more efficient and regularly gets huge upsets against bigger conference like Toledo playing @Arkansas and beating up on the Razorbacks. The overall coaching and athletes in this conference pound for pound is really something very very impressive.

RE: The MAC has some work to do
the real question is why did they distribute the revenue evenly? Are we to believe that Vanderbilt deserves as much as Alabama? Why not give the top half 80% of the revenue and the bottom half 20%? Isn't that the 'fair" thing to do, don't haven't they "earned" it?

Funny how the logic they use to keep half of the FBS poor isn't applied to their own conference.

because in a democratic organization, everyone gets a vote....there is no SEC without the bottom half of the schools.....thus the bottom half votes weigh the same as the football factories.....there is no Alabama without the Vanderbilts.......

I think every conference evenly splits revenue.

I think they'd be perfectly willing to cut us loose and take their chances... and most of America wouldn't give a crap, or they might even welcome it.

RE: The MAC has some work to do
If the P5 wants to keep the G5 around for nonconference games then they have to give us a New Years Day slot and theoretical shot at the playoff in order to avoid lawsuits.

If they get greedy and exclude the G5 they won't have those easy nonconference games available to them. The P5 teams who are going 7-5 or 6-6 will now have losing records and that will get real old with their fan bases.

Since the NCAA usually does the thing that makes no sense this will probably happen.
