Trump’s decision to fire acting Attorney General Sally Yates Monday for refusing to implement the president’s refugees ban “sends kind of a chilling effect through the agency,” said John O’Grady, a career EPA employee who heads up agency unions.

“I’m afraid at this point that many federal employees are just fearful for their jobs, and they want to keep their heads down.”

Yates was replaced by Dana Boente, U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia, to serve as acting attorney general in the interim.

Tom Malinow­ski — who was President Barack Obama’s assistant secretary of state for democracy, human rights and labor — implied that federal employees are dissenting beyond previous parties.

“Is it unusual? … There’s nothing unusual about the entire national security bureaucracy of the United States feeling like their commander in chief is a threat to U.S. national security. That happens all the time. It’s totally usual. Nothing to worry about,” Malinow­ski told reporters.

Another employee at the Department of Justice told reporters he and his colleagues are planning to slow their work and to file complaints with the inspector general’s office if they are asked to shift grants away from their mission.

They're scared they will get fired. And they should be.

Obama has just incredibly politicized everything. He's done far more damage to this government than I realized (assuming this article isn't fake news-but its believable).

If Trump can cut Federal jobs by 25% just through attrition? He will have done something wonderful for the future of this nation.

Between the appointments and hiring process, the Obama's and Clinton's have hired or had a hand in hiring soooooo many of these people. No doubt that they keep in touch. Friend of a friend type contact.

And 300x that amount were hired as political favors from the DNC donor pools Sons & Daughters over and above. You don't just suddenly get a government job without insider help unless there are "quotas" to be filled. Obama's job creation agenda showed growth in this main area. Not in the private sector outside of Temps and part timers.
