I wouldn't hold your breath about tarpping off seats. Except for the seats directly behind columns, every seat is good. And the obstructed view column seats are still sold for Sox games, so I doubt that they wouldn't be sold for football.
Some seats might be lost to fit the field, though.
Looks like they were able to get 38k in for the ND/BC game FWIW
