Quote:A class to be offered this spring at Ohio State University is an identity politics-based course that in large part is focused on teaching students how to detect microaggressions and white privilege...

Seriously Ohio... Seriously? As if I needed another reason to not like that state.

Quote:Taking the course, offered through the Department of Educational Studies, is one way students can fulfill the university’s mandatory diversity requirement, and many sections are offered throughout the school year.

Not sure if it's an elective or requirement based on the above.

A better question is why is there a MANDATORY diversity requirement. It's school...not a social experiment.

It is what it is. I have mandatory diversity training at work, so, yeah. Part of college is about learning about others, etc so I don't mind the class being offered, as long as it is not mandatory.
