IMO, Barnes was the big loss today, not Warren. We have a tradition of being just fine at RB and will continue. But we really need bigger, physical LBs in the middle just past the line of scrimmage and so far, this class doesn't address that need. Maybe if I wish really hard we will get a game-ready JUCO LB yet.

Been a long time since Toledo had a LB duo like David Gardiner and Tom Ward....... They were MONSTERS!!!!!!

Sylvestre and Murdock were very good.

My observation of twitter announcements are lots of defense and OL. Fits the needs

Not sure why we need another QB

Excited about this. Maybe Udonis comes to see him. Maybe Udonis puts up big bucks for the program. I can dream!

Can Coach K use him as a power forward?

Based on this thread (thanks for the updates, particularly to Detroit Rocket!), we're sitting on 21 recruits...and things have gone silent...seems like we should have a few more? Wonder if we are scrambling to fill some de-commits that just occurred today? Or, are a few guys waiting until later to officially announce?

Don't mind me...I'm just focused on getting an ILB or two yet...could be the difference between a good class and a really good class.

We could end up using the scholarships on 5th year transfers. We seem to always get a couple of those. Also, I though we were in the running for a top punter. I do not see any punters in this class.

Amen! We are in big trouble at that position. Hoping for a JC or P5 Graduate.... Someone that can possibly play next year. Not sure how we missed what should have been the number #1 priority in the class.

A healthy Norwood(Soph) 6'1" 235 would make a huge difference along with Olekanma(Jr) 6'2" 245 and Woodley(Sr) 5'11" 235.

A healthy & in-game-shape Norwood, after missing 2 seasons--yep, absolutely agree with you, Boca. I am hoping that he is finally healed & ready to go! Woodley gets a lot out of his shorter stature & had been pretty consistent. Olekanma showed some good moments early. I think we've learned that we need 3 or 4 good, physical LBs to get thru a season. I'd be OK with those 3 inside--now if we can add one more...

C'mon guys. Norwood is a thing of folklore. There have been legends and reported glimpses. Not sure he has ever been seen up close.

Before the season, Candle said Norwood's playing time would depend on how much effort he put in. Didn't mention injuries.

Anthony Crider is an ILB that signed with Toledo today.
6'1" 209lbs
247 rates him as a 2* recruit.

So a few of those "commitments" on Twitter I saw the past few days must have been preferred walk ons because they haven't been posted on the Toledo Fb Twitter account, which has posted every official NLI so far.

Small. The LB commit we just lost today was 6'4" 235 lbs...perfect size for a LB.

He's 2 inches taller than Woodley and only 20 lbs lighter. He could pack on 20 lbs in no time.
