Of course, they have also proven they can lose badly to darn near anyone as well. When things are clicking, they are a tough out.

I think that applies accurately to everyone except Akron and Miami this season.

Aside from Buffalo, OU's remaining opponents are BGSU, Kent, and Miami twice. Buffalo is definitely the toughest opponent we have remaining. I'd say 11-7 or 12-6 is realistic. You can never count out Miami in the Battle of the Bricks though.

This is kind of interesting game to me because i think both Buffalo and Ohio have a real good path to the 2 and 3 seed and with how bunched up teams are between 4-9 and I don't know that there is really going to be any difference between the 2 or the 3 except uniform color and the bench you sit on in Cleveland.

Akron punched its ticket to Cleveland.

Buffalo has only one road game remaining. They are on a 5 game winning streak with the average margin of victory during that span of 15.4. I'll be shocked if they don't end up with the 2 seed. Looking forward to the February 24th matchup between Akron and Buffalo.

I don't know.. Even if we beat you, and that's a huge if, we would have to beat Akron to have a tie breaker on you. I think the 2 is Ohio's to lose.

Honestly at this point I'd rather be two and potentially play NIU in the quarters than three and play WMU. We tend to play better against the pups.

I'd be happy if we got the 2 seed, but really there isn't much difference between the 2 and the 3. i am definitely hoping we get one of those (either one is fine with me). two reasons: we would play our quarter-final at night which would hopefully help the OU crowd get to the game better (as opposed to playing in the afternoon), and obviously, we would avoid Akron until the potential final game.

Buffalo is playing well but they do have to come to Athens so that will be a test for them. not saying they couldn't beat us at home but it will be tough.

a side note: CBS Sports Network just announced it has picked up the OU-UB game which will now start at 6:00 on 2/28 instead of 7:00.

Nothing against Akron, but this is by far our toughest game remaining. The Convo is one of the toughest places to play. I am glad CBS picked it up because it should be one heck of a game!

No offense taken. I'm well aware of how hard it is to win there.

I wish it was that hard, but we're 3-3 at home (1-3 since TC went down), 5-2 on the road this season. and I could easily see us finishing 4-5 at home.

I agree that we haven't been spectacular at home lately. However, historically, it's been pretty difficult for opposing teams to leave the Convo with a W.

Especially if the Ozone is rockin'.

They look like an AAU team that showed up in their road unis and decided just to change the jerseys.

It's UB's 100th year of hoops. Those were 1950's throw backs.

Last year Akron had this kind of end schedule ... MAC has to go back to the old (fair) schedule format -- start with two crossover games ... five division games ... six crossover games ... five division games with no team ever playing three straight on the road or at home.

Toledo gets 3 at home now... we won all 5 in a row at home earlier to end out OOC play.
