This x1000 - this is why I've disliked recruiting and following it. It brings out some sides of people that might not mean what they articulate or are saying about a kid who is trying to make a life-changing decision at 18 years old and on a public platform. He will represent the city wherever he goes, and that is something we should be behind, with the cherry on top being if he chooses to stay home to do it as a Rocket.

I think we'd all love to have him and I could see the "hometown kid" headlines, but I understand why he wouldn't stay home. Sucks but I get it.

Honestly, given his circumstances...I don't understand why he wouldn't stay home, especially since he has a clear path to the NFL right here in his hometown. He has greater responsibilities in life right now that are more than about football, and he's just leaving that behind to go play football? Come on man. He's not a kid anymore.

I feel for these kids. They aren't even done with HS, and are getting pulled 100 different ways by coaches, family, friends, enemies, enemies disguised as friends ... and there's no real way to predict what path will be best for them in the long run. So, give him a break. He made the decision he felt he needed to make.
