We can't. The system is rigged against us. Imagine walking into a divorce or child custody proceeding or rape trial to that woman as the judge.

Well, I'm assuming there is gonna be some bias in that court room.

Is there some way we can eliminate bias in the courtroom? Like defendant and plaintiff aren't seen and referred to as only by what they are in the case and any testimony they give is played with a voice scrambler? Make the judge and jury focus on facts rather than gender, race, looks, etc.?

She should be disbarred for that mockery.

She's a politician, not a judge.

If she was a real judge it would violate the rules of judicial ethics.

It's impossible to eliminate bias. That's why juries are instructed to judge the case on the facts and the judges instructions, and not their personal opinion and interpretation of the law. There's certainly room for debate about this, but this is current practice.

The defendant has the right to a jury of his peers and face his accusers, and vice versa. Outside of some extraordinary circumstances like child abuse or true fear of extrajudicial violence, as far as I understand one must face his accusers and his jury.

Every judge worth their salt makes this crystal clear in their jury instructions.

In Texas the county commissioners court has the head commissioner who's role is similar to a city council having a mayor.
She is not a judge in any jurisprudential way. She is a politician like a mayor. (but in this case a political hack.)
