It's a downright lie to say that the people we spend time with don't alter who we are as people. Hang out with people who use filthy language and you will start to curse. Ideas and behavior creeps into peoples mind from the environment they saok themselves in.
Will hanging out with trans-gendered kids make my kids trans-gendered? no.... Will it soften their view on the Biblical roles of gender and sexuality and perhaps effect their behavior in that sphere?
Yes!
So, where it is in my control, I will keep my very young kids out of those environments and *gradually* allow them to be exposed as I see their maturity and foundational understanding of Christ and the Gospel take root.

And you are prefectly within your right to do so. I wish more people would simply take this approach rather than trying to keep people that they deem undesirable out.

And you are prefectly within your right to do so. I wish more people would simply take this approach rather than trying to keep people that they deem undesirable out.
Ummm if I get together with like minded people to do something that we all agree with for our kids then it's not a matter of "keeping people out"... It's freedom of association and attempts to "diversify" the group are people trying to "force themselves in".
