Down 51 - 52, Rice hit a 3-pointer with 8.6 seconds left....and then got fouled at the other end.

Note-- huge road upset as Charlotte was 15 - 4 entering the game.

Has a link to a conference USA twitter feed which features video of Hawkins' game-winning 3-pointer. Super happy for Hawkins - she's always had an infectious smile and attitude despite two pretty serious injuries in her Rice career. She and Goodwine have had very nice senior seasons and really have done a lot to turn around the fortunes of the Rice women's basketball program.

Great great win and on the road also! Great defense wins games. Congratulations to Coach Langley and her staff. Now it is the men's turn for an upset on the road :)
