I'm not there, but looks/sounds like better student turnout. They had a Greek-related event tonight.

A little better and of course the pep band and I think the cheer team all at the same end.

Foul fest, but can't blame the refs. Seems like the players can't stay out of the way of the other players... Chaotic.

Now the refs are calling too much. Ugly game.

Raven lost a little magic on his drives since conference play started.

RE: Game Week: Kent and @NIU
in the first half we had that slow start and then looked like an engaged team. i thought maybe we got our 'funk' out of the way for the game. boy was i wrong. the first 10 minutes of the second half have been sloppy by both teams and the refs. let's see thompson take over for the next five minutes.

Bad loss. I don't get why this team sucks at home all of a sudden.

I have said it before and will say it again - I have never seen such a mentally immature group of players on one team before. It's hard to win games with guys that lack basketball IQ. And why is every game we play a dang hackathon??

On the scouting report of every MAC team - get in Eastern's head they will throw up dumb shots, throw the ball away, pick up T's and half of their team will foul out in the process of doing so.

we did not need to lose this game. EMU played well for maybe 15 minutes. that's not good enough.

RE: Game Week: Kent and @NIU
I always thought of myself as a die-hard EMU fan with unlimited patience. But as another MAC season hovering around 0.500 seems to be materializing, I am getting close.

Last year, Ray Lee was named to the preseason Lou Henson award watch list and the freshman James Thompson IV was attracting NBA scouts. Throw in Bond and a great supporting cast all playing together for 2 years now.

What happened???? Losing at home 3 times all to mediocre teams at best. This is not a bad season, they probably still will finish with a winning MAC record- but this was the year to do something more. And the near 20 year wait for a season of significance is starting to exhaust my interest.

Hopefully, something will happen with a run in the second half of the conference season or better yet the tournament. We will see. Go EMU!!!

They are bad. I'm starting to think they have gone backwards this year. And quite frankly, I put a lot of blame on Murphy. Immaturity, lack of development, poor fundamentals... these are coaching issues. His lack of strategic planning is disgusting.

That said, gotta make free throws. Gotta stop turning the ball over.

Thompson has a huge target on his back and he has to keep his emotions under control.

I said it last year, I said it preseason, I'll say it again. Time for Murphy to go. If you can't produce wins with this type of raw talent, you shouldn't be coaching. Period.

I think Murph is a good coach. I wish that he recruited more of character guys and not only dudes that are very talented. It shows in the tough games like this one tonight. Also it hurts me to say it but unless something changes it's time for Murph to move on to another school. As a school we need to make a decision, do we want to be a middle of the league type of team or shoot for the stars. I pick the second option.

He has recruited some good basketball players and he has brought the idea of winning back to this program. He's done good things for this program but he is a bad in game basketball coach. week after week, game after game, it seems there is no preparation. No game plan. No adjustments made. No offense run. We have trouble getting the ball inbounded for goodness sake. And every year, no development. Ray Lee, Tim Bond, JT.... these guys are all the exact same players they were when they walked in the door. We haven't seen him have an ability to mold these guys into great ball players. And the raw ability is there. There's got to be a point when we cash in the chips and find the person to take the next step. This much talent should be contending for the conference, not hanging out in the middle.
