It is increasingly apparent that as Scout is liquidated from bankruptcy to CBS/247 that several publishers will not be carried over. Read: If you're not a huge program, buh bye. In particular if you are a Scout board that isn't related to a major publisher ... your forums are on life support with just a few weeks remaining IMHO. And even if you are saved, the forums will be still be silos on a per team basis and be some minimal vanilla half baked stuff for the foreseeable future.

What can CSN do for you?
- *THE* place on the internet for conference wide discussion forums
- *THE* place on the internet for realignment discussion
- The primary message board for roughly a dozen teams
- A place where emphasis is placed first and foremost on forum features, functionality, community, and interacting with fans from all over the country.
- No annoying clickbait, freemium baiting, pop ups, pop unders, interstitials, and/or ad block captive portals
- FREE

I am in the process of coding my own message board software that will satisfy the needs of our site for the foreseeable future. This will ensure the site is fast, mobile friendly WITHOUT the need for an app, and full of powerful features to make moderating easy and life difficult for repeat troll offenders. The look and feel of the site will still be identical, save for a new mobile app-less experience.

I can put interested people in touch with several third party people who have moved into CSN, including publishers who maintain their own content sites and simply use us for the message board to go with it. If you're looking for the full one stop shop with a publishing platform for news/oped ... we can do that too ... but we're still probably 18-24 months away from that. So hop on in. The waters fine. And here you won't be table scraps or an afterthought. We can setup the same moderation teams you had previously, and work with you in other words to make the transition as easy as possible.

I got both of them in my blood and was kind of wondering about that myself. Hiring an ND grad.

CSN is a fantastic site/community and been a great home for us for over 10 years now (its been that long?)

There's definitely some schools that get random insults.

I came here 5 years ago because it was the only place where issues concerning all of our conferences could be discussed among fans of all of those conferences. The main board has been an interesting, entertaining, informative, and occasionally an infuriating place to hang out. But it usually has something going on.

To any boards thinking of migrating, the JMU faithful can certainly vouch. We had our previous CAA board which fell into disrepair a few years ago (in what sounds like a pretty equitable situation), and CSN was quick to get us set up and humming like we never missed a conference realignment rumor beat. Small schools won't find a better destination- sturdy dependable board with excellent care and upkeep by GTS. Do it.
