La Techs entire bench got ejected for leaving the bench along with one of their guys on the court who threw a punch so they had to finish the game with just four players! Ouch!

One video was unavailable and the second did not show much, so have to ask. Did the Refs over reach with the ejections. We had a game that a St. Bonaventure player throw a solid bunch at one of our guys. Our player back away then start to throw a bunch but never got past his hip as team mates had him. Both players were ejected.
PS. The same St. Bona also then got eject in a following game for the same type of stunt.

I think both players involved, Tech player who instigated with the shove and UAB player who retaliated with a punch were ejected and will miss the next game. The rest of the ejections were for players/coaches leaving the bench which is the NCAA rules. It seems drastic but this is what the results of bench clearing fights are, I think they got it right.

The La Tech bench was ejected for leaving the bench area. Been a rule for sometime and cuts down on the large scrums.

I was there.
One of their guys committed a foul, refs called it, UAB huddles before the shot. One of their other guys (not the one who fouled) threw his shoulder into the back of the UAB huddle. A UAB player compared him to a female dog for some reason. LT player threw wild punch, missed, second UAB player punched LT wild-puncher in the throat, then dragged him the length of the court to the LT end. LT bench emptied. UAB bench followed. Much shoving ensued.
Entire LT bench was ejected. All but two of UAB bench, because they were slow off the bench and it was the other end of the court and the refs missed them (but they were on the court). All remaining UAB bench players, including the redshirt, were ejected as well. The dog-caller received a Class A tech.
Rest of the game was a very mild shoot-around, as both coaches had ordered their teams to run out the clock.
The two punch-throwers have been suspended for one game.
