Explosive off the edge.
Also had offers from Air Force and FAU. An under-the-radar type prospect.

SW Florida has a tremendous high school to NFL record, particularly on the defensive side, DB and CB. Immokalee has a second rounder last year. The recruiting connection? That NFL player's twin is at Iowa St. This could be a rec from the former staff.
From googling, Immokalee was a traditionally strong program that's gone through a few years (were state finalist 2012) of hard times and a series of coaches, now settled in with a very young former player (state champ 2004). They made regional finals last year and seem to be competitive again with the top of the state, but in a much smaller division. Coach is homegrown and described as very scholarly. Looks like a nice under-the-radar pipeline but you have to expect quote a culture change from fairly rural in the South to urban in the North.
An Air Force offer is no joke. Might have a future coach on our hands. Hope Mr. Fleriot enjoys his time and finds success here on the field and classroom. Welcome!

Immokalee: interesting history.
Cliffs notes version.
Calusa Indians were headed from one coast to another coast and ran out of gas in the middle of a swamp. Called the place "immoklee, which is Calusan for "ran out of gas."
Seminoles were migrating south and, ran out of gas. They joined the Calusan's and added an "a" to the village name.
Ponce De Leon was looking of Fountain of Youth, and ran out of gas. Left a bunch of people who drained the swamps. Missionaries came and taught them how to raise tomatos because what else would you need, in the middle of a swamp?
Then things got ugly. Migrants abused... then the Seminoles put in an airport and a Casino and apparently a football team. Still no gas but plenty of tomato sauce. You have to look at a satellite map to appreciate this place, it looks like the world's largest tomato garden. There is little better than a fresh tomato and a shaker of salt while sitting on the porch.
Part of the Marco Island-Naples statistical area and governed by Collier County. Population about 24-25,000. NFL'ers from Immokalee include:
Mackensie Alexander, Albert Bentley, Edgerrin James, Javeris James, Brian Rolle, etc.

Cool.....thanks for sharing.
PittRocket might have to drive down to Wheeling to catch one of his games this fall. And wear a bunch of Rocket gear in order to Represent. Wheeling is pretty much the 412 anyhow.

RE: 2018 Official Football Recruiting Thread
Just guessing...but it's fun to speculate at what the make-up of the final class may look like IF the verbals stay true and that's always a big IF... Here's my best wild guess...
these are additional to the current verbals as of today (13 total):
2 RB
2 Slots or APB's
2 WR
3 DB/S/CB
1 LB
1 OT
1 DE
The above listing is of course just a guess. The staff has really been working it and it is interesting to note that there have been no satellite or non Toledo based camps this June. This is HUGE departure from all previous years and staffs. Evidently this staff is taking a different approach which may be a more focused approach to key targeted recruits but the lack of non Toledo camps IMHO opinion is a big change in course for the recruiting tactics of UT football
Go Rockets!!!!!!!

Seems a very nice start. Any 5th graders offered?

Toledo is #55 and WMU#54. It is a composite ranking that doesn't mean much, except who's verbaled. For example, the MAC leaders are ahead of
Alabama right now, Rockets are doing a good job that's fine with me,

Looks like a great pickup. Love the size and speed. Hopefully we can hold on to most of these guys! Things definitely appear to be on the upswing. Or maybe I am just biased

Jalin ran a 10.88 100m and 22.12 200m in the NY State T & F Sectional.
Btw, Jalin is a winner. A real character guy that has worked hard and really overcome the odds to get to this point. Congrats!!!

If we need some to run an end-around he's the one cause it appears he ran about 1500 of them his junior year.

Probably the first time I've heard a recruit answer the question "what will you remember most of your (high school) time" respond, "the kids." Nice to see a young man that age so aware of the important things, the fleeting things. Makes his choice of UT a recognition for the university and the football program, IMO.
