Wow, Briggs is calling MOB and the entire UT Athletic Department completely out. I wonder what kind of reception he'll get when he goes in for interviews from now on, same with that St. John's homer who is the O$U beat writer now.

Not trying to excuse anything, but the Blade didn't make nearly as much about this: http://www.toledoblade.com/Courts/2016/0...icted.html

Somebody tell that guy the University's address is on Bancroft not Dorr Street.........

And we're talking about .0004% of the athletic budget.......
Sure it should have been handled more professionally by the Dude involved, but...

MOB doesn't need to regain my trust.

He has my trust as a general administrator, but not as an evaluator of potential coaches.

The MONEY is MISSING, tell me how a college athletic department has no checks and balances to account for cash coming in? Nobody really knows how much money is missing? It seems like the athletic department always has some kind of cloud hanging over it's head.

RE: UT's O'Brien must rebuild public trust
Interesting quote: “It is one thing if the books are irregular at Ohio State or Michigan, where the athletic departments are self-sustaining. At Toledo, it is a fundamental breach of public trust”

So Mr. Briggs is essentially admitting that financial fraud happens at other universities as well. And the abuse of funds is perhaps its more egregious at Michigan or Ohio State, but it’s all good since they are “self-sustaining”

Ergo the public trust isn’t compromised if Ohio State somehow misplaces $20,000.00?

Wrong is wrong albeit at Toledo or Michigan or Vassar.
