Will Pitino buy ugly hookers for recruits this year?

Probably, since they are even cheaper and they can argue again how it is not a major violation, because, you know, dollar amounts. Scummiest Athletic Department in all of sports.

Ollie has been a mediocre regular season coach for 3 years now. The discussion needs to begin...07-coffee3

There are many reasons why his seat is not hot yet. He's a beloved alum, he already has a national championship, and he continues to recruit well, given current circumstances. The injuries that have devastated our roster this season will also provide a lifeline. Personally, I think it's worth talking about but I know he has at least a few more years and that unless we have more seasons this bad, I think he's pretty safe. I think he needs to be getting more out of his players and they need to show more progress from year to year.

If they don't win the AAC tournament or at least get 20 wins total (including post season wins), it's time to sit him down for a talk, because technically, he won a Tubby Smith style NCAA Championship. UCONN is a blue blood level bball school and needs to maintain its expected level of excellence.

I think Ollie is fine. I attribute this year to injuries more than anything else.

I agree but his recruits have to start producing. He is in the same boat at Connecticut that coaches, who replace Wooden's UCLA dynasty were in. Time will soontell if he will prevail. 04-cheers

A title gets you a complete mulligan, regardless of the injury situation. However, do something like this again next year and yeah he could be in deep trouble.

I don't know why we are even discussing this. The man is coaching a team that has had catastrophic injuries. I'm no Ollie fan, that's for sure but you gotta give the man a pass this year.
