Guess we won't have to worry about the Pirates' pass rush anymore.

Seems like a good fit. Doesn't he have pretty good recruiting connections in that area?

I always thought Prunty was one of the strongest on the staff. I know it does not adhere to the hate all things Tubbs circlejerk here, but Prunty will probably be a good addition to ECU. He is a very good recruiter, and will be right in his territory.

Prunty is a fine coach and a good man. Don't get the shade people on this board have given him. All those recruits we got out of Virginia are due to Prunty. I wish him well and think he will help ECU dramatically with their regional recruiting.

Wonder if he'll hire Tubs as an assistant.

Agree. I think he'll do a fine job out from under the TT shadow at ECU. Solid guy on and off the field. I wish him the best of luck!

I'll give him due credit on the recruiting front, but his record coaching the d-line here wasn't exactly sterling. Nonetheless, I think it's a good get for ECU.

I concur with those suggesting he was a good guy and I wish him well. It's hard to judge most any position coach under Tubs because the on field performance was lacking in so many ways that I blame the "CEO" entirely for the debacle.

I think Whit should be required to hire him as an assistant at VT. Without an interview.

I'm glad to see he landed somewhere, he'll be a good hire for ECU.

IMO Prunty is in the mold of Kerry Coombs. Good HS (prep in his case) coach turned sub par college position coach but could recruit and that kept him afloat.
