This year, 6 players. Would probably be 5 if Chad wasn't injured.

Regardless of what is happening at GT this year - we were really a mess last year.

You ever wonder why that was?

You lost your top 4 scorers from last year.
And you have 2 guys back who started at least 14 games.
And UK is pretty much always returning some of the fewest minutes played. They returned 2,250 minutes and you returned 2,388 minutes. Don't know if UK is least experienced in the nation, but they are less experienced than you.

Quote:According to ESPN.com's John Gasaway, Tech is the least experienced team in Division I, returning only 25 percent of its possession-minutes from 2015-16. Gasaway measures experience by calculating a team's "returning possession minutes," the percentage of minutes that a player recorded last season, multiplied by the percentage of the team's possessions that he used (as listed at kenpom.com).

That's a bit unnecessarily convulted, right? You've got minutes returning (UK has the fewest). You've got minutes per game returning (again UK). And you've got this.

So it's really not the least experienced team by minutes. It's a ratio flexed by possessions. So a team with more possessions could have more experience returning, but using this ratio would still qualify as "less experienced". Weird. But if it's a good tag line in the media notes for you guys - go with it. Just be sure to frame it more accurately.

You mean GT fans are not obsessing over a game they won but unimpressivley over a weak opponent? They are looking at the big picture?
