Exclamation Thomas Johnston, Scout High School All-American
http://www.scout.com/college/football/re...s-for-2016

LB- Thomas Johnston, Spanish Fort (Ala.) - Committed to UAB
Johnston broke the all-time state of Alabama record for tackles this season while racking up 197 on the season. He is constantly around the ball and a tackling machine.

Awesome! Of the committed players, he's the only one not going to a P5 school.

I noticed this too. He was 4 stars before he committed wasn't he?

Should they do this the All-American ranking won't jive with their supposed star ranking.

Depends on rating agency. Couple have him as 4 and a couple at 3. What's awesome is we have a HS all American coming to the blazer family.

Yeah, 247Sports had him as a 3-star, but just .02 away from being a 4-star. Rivals has him as a 3-star and the #23 LB in the nation. Every other service had him as a 4-star.

As with Jake Ganus, what really counts is his ranking 2 or 3 seasons from now.

We aren't Alabama or Ohio state, getting a player of this caliber is huge for the program, even if he winds up being a bust.
