Wouldn't trade North Carolina for anywhere else after living here for the past 12+ years. I always tell folks what I love the most is mountains to the west and the ocean to the east. Best of both worlds with a mild, mid-Atlantic climate overall. People are great too. Love Boone, Asheville, Wilmington, Chapel Hill, Greensboro, Winston-Salem and Raleigh.

truly a man of unique tastes! just kidding. i'm more of a mountain man than beach bum. but i dig them both, however when i'm standing in front of a wild ocean, i do get a rush. preferably somewhere isolated, i don't care if i can't swim in it because it's too cold out. that's what makes me want to visit the outer banks in the early spring. when it's just a gray and miserable day. those are my favorite. makes it seem more authentic
