You read quotes from coaches like this a lot - a lot of times on missed players too.

It's funny how some get set in their ways - whether it's philosophy (what's worked before) or measurables or anything of that nature.

That's why you see that the best coaches are always those that are adapting, always taking chances, always looking beyond the norm.

Great piece. I hope Isaac makes it. Yes teams pass more now, but it because of the Rams teams Isaac was on that the NFL changed to a passing league.

Ike wasn't the best receiver on our team in 92. Russell and Mac Cody were both better over all talents. But you weren't gonna out work, out hustle or out heart Isaac. Same in his pro career. He kept his body in top condition, he perfected his route running and he caught anything in his area. He was a great teammate and a true professional. He should be in!!!

I have to give a shout out to Stephen Gostkowski --I think he was in the pro bowl 5 times, 2 time first team, 5 times player of the week. Certainly can be in the conversation when talking about the best kickers in the NFL.
