you are trolling, and I reported it. This thread should be closed
Not trolling. I would love to see the WAC back with football. I have been a fan of WAC football since the 1980s. That is why I don't like the snobbery of schools and fans from the schools that do not have football. If I had my way? I would make the whole D1 schools sponser football. If they refuse? They will be dropped to D2 status.
"WAC Football..." threads are our version of "the never-ending thread."
The question about how stable would the WAC be with Chicago State could be gone by this fall? With the WAC spread out too far? You may need to look at schools that could help fill in the gaps. That includes football schools. Do you want the WAC to be stable? Or do you want to snob football schools in areas that could help the conference to be around longer? Several Lone Star Conference schools are itching to move up. Both Alaska schools have been mentioned as candidates. Hawaii Pacific and Chaminade both have been mentioned. Several other California schools besides Azusa Pacific are rumored. Academy of Arts in San Francisco does have a very large student body like Cal.-San Diego. Excuse me. It is San Francisco State close to 30,000 students. Cal. Poly-Pomona, and Cal. State- LA is over 20,000. Dixie State has the same size enrollment as California Baptist. They are getting large donations that could show that they are serious to go D1. St. George is not that far away from Las Vegas. Arkansas Tech is larger in student body than Central Arkansas and third largest in the state. UMSL in Saint Louis could be another olympic sports. Simon Fraser is over 35,000 students. Western Washington is over 13,000 and Central Washington is over 10,000.
University Arkansas-Fort Smith
Dallas Baptist
West Texas A&M
Midwestern State
Tarleton State
Texas A&M-Commerce
Texas A&M-Kingsville
Angelo State
All could move up. Those Texas schools all had articles in recent years that they are looking to join D1.
Central Oklahoma, 16,000 +
Fort Hays State 14,000 +
Central Missouri
Lindenwood
St. Cloud State
Mankato State
Minnesota-Duluth
Metro State 24,000
Colorado Mesa 11,000
Colorado-Colorado Springs 10,000
Regis
Oakland City in Indiana needs a home.
You could see there are a lot of schools to choose from. If the Big Sky sheds some southern schools to the WAC? You could see some call ups in the area to fill out the rest.
I favor Western Washington to join the WAC since I went there when I was 5 to 7 years old to the campus to get hearing tests since I was born with a deformed inner ear. Washington is my birth state. I am one of those who would love to see more west coast schools to move up. I even would loved to see Arizona Western in Yuma go to a 4 year university and move to D1. Yes, I root for little kids to succeed and move up. Many of these schools at D2 could use some spotlight to attract more students and all that.
