They seemed to get their act together against UTSA but I am not sure if it was that or that UTSA had one of those nights. Paul Thomas seems to become the player he was thought to be (4*) in the past three games by averaging 15 points and 10 rebounds. In addition UTEP has cut down on their turnovers averaging only 12 in the past three games. If UTEP can split this road trip then people will start coming to the remaining home games. UTEP will also have a favorable schedule the rest of the way with Rice being the only top team they play on the road after this week.

You have a great shot at a road win tomorrow. My gut says UTEP for the win. I feel like we can win that game because we've played much better at home minus the last 8 minutes against ODU. But after seeing UTEP had won their last 3 my gut is flipping towards another home loss.

Your team has nothing to worry about. It will be an easy 12-15 point win for WKU.

lol. You've been so wrapped up in your own misery you haven't been paying any attention to the rest of the conference. We could win. But there's no way in hell it will be anywhere near easy. We could just as easily lose. We've just lost 4 in a row. You've just won 3 in a row. Which trend do you like coming into this game?
I'll still pick WKU in a blowout. We beat two of the worst teams in the country (no disrespect FIU & FAU we are just as bad) by one point at home. The UTSA win was abnormal they had an off night. You guys lost to three of the top four conference teams on the road and a solid ODU squad. I know you will sweep your home stand.

Let's not get mired into details of who played who. lol. I'm girding myself for another Hilltopper loss where Coach Stansbury makes zero coaching moves in the game and looks as thrilled as he would watching his wife shop at TJ Maxx. Dude looks absolutely miserable here. I don't think he really knew what a dropoff it is money wise from the SEC to CUSA. He's brought up numerous times in interviews how hard flying commercial is for practice times. You can tell he didn't do that at Ms State and Texas A&M. He's seeing the other side of the world now. And it ain't as easy as it is with that SEC money rolling in.

Now, next year's recruiting class borders on ridiculous. Not just the 3 November signees but we have 3 guys sitting out that are crazy good. Whether they see the floor remains to be seen but they are of a talent level we haven't seen at Western in a very long time. They are certainly worth waiting a year for.

Perhaps flying commercial will be a much less hindrance next year with the talent he will have at his disposal. And he still will sign about 3 more in the spring. Dude has done an incredible job of recruiting. Don't see a lot of tactical work out of him but he has a fallback this year of the mess he came into.

From what I've seen, RayRay can coach circles around Stanz. Admittedly, I have a very small sample size.

But the Pancake guy is the real deal........ and JJ gives his all.

Yep, winning makes everything better. Even having to fly coach.

I would hope we do not have 8 non conference road games next season, so I can see how easy it is to complain but not sure where they scheduled so many non conference road games....Hopefully if or when we get good again we can have more driveable non conference matchups and get a pretty good team to play us at home every once in awhile, I know easier said then done...

As far as tonight surprised the spread is WKU-7.5, I think UTEP covers but we win by 3 or 4 points....We have played pretty well at home for the most part and Justin looked pissed last game, if he keeps being angry like he was against Marshall we will have a chance...

RE: C-USA Basketball - Conference Week 4/5
Austin Loop hits 6 3s tonight and ties Tamar Slay with 251 3 pointers. After his 6th 3 D'Antoni imed. takes him out of the game with 4:02 left to go and empties the bench at 3:50.

D'Antoni told the Voice of the Herd Steve Cotton that he took Loop out so everyone would have to come back on Sat. to watch him break the Marshall All Time 3 Point Record against UTEP. Now if that's true or not no one really knows because he did empty the bench only 12 seconds later at the under 4 time out.

Austin Loop in his career has had 679 shot attempts, only 72 have been inside the 3 point arc.

UAB is rolling the Dawgs at the half - we can't hit anything at all from the outside but we keep trying to. Announcers said we are one of the youngest teams in the country so at least we have that I guess.

I wouldn't say that. Dogs ate into the lead last couple of minutes.
