I know you guys all have some quality recruits as well, but this is huge for UAB. Thomas Johnston is a 4 star LB and the state of Alabama's all-time leading tackler. He chose UAB over Iowa, Ole Miss, Arkansas, Arizona St, and Auburn (H-back offer).

Pretty awesome to be able to get that caliber of player after not playing football for 2 years. Bill Clark is the man.

Wow. The best thing that ever happened to UAB was to get shut down it seems. It has completely re-energized the program.

No. There is nothing good about what Ray Watts, Paul Bryant Jr. and their cronies did. It was a criminal act of evil.

If someone brutally murders a man's wife, and he later marries a beautiful, loving woman, that awful act was not "the best thing that ever happened" to him. It is a separate occurence.

I probably took it to literally but I don't think it would be the end of the world like murder is. I hope UAB can capitalize on some of this recruiting and win some ball games.

Lighten up. I'm sure it wasn't meant literally. But you have to admit some good came out of it. We're trying hard to wish you well here. What they did sucks and is another reason to hate them. Take it and find the positive. It's there if you look.
