Initially nothing to complain about. On paper, excellent choice. As with any hire great or not is dependent on his accomplishments. For the sake of all let's hope he accomplishes more than any

I have lived in TN for many years now, and that's not exactly accurate. They have/make a ton of money, but they have had financial hardships at times. It seems the two are easily confused - having a lot of money does not mean you have no financial hardships, and having little money does not necessarily mean you have financial hardships. So, is that good (because they faced financial hardships)? or is that bad (because even with all the money, they faced financial hardships)?

Actually, its the exact opposite of your statement. It was just 2 or 3 years ago the Vols had an athletic department debt of over $200 million....literally the highest debt in the SEC. Since this was during our new AD's watch I would hope someone would ask him during his presser what the hell happened and how is he going to avoid that here at USM.

I'll back him and see how he does. Not happy with an SEC guy, but I'll be behind him all the way and give him every chance to prove himself. No second guessing or nit-picking until by me until he has a chance to show what he can do. Fundraising and not automatically extending Doc Sadlers contract are two priorities for me.

Doesn't seem smarmy, stand-offish or wack-a-doodle like we've seen at various times in the past. He has specific fund-raising experience and responsibilities like we haven't seen very often.
