UT represents so much better than what sometimes is depicted on this board. We can do better.

Don't scare him off!!!!!
Ask him to stay.
His high school still says he is staying in Toledo.
Feb. 1, we'll find out.
I don't care if he stays or goes, he is bring some baggage with him and I heard his grades aren't that great. Lets move on, he isn't the first recruit we have lost.

The only baggage he'd bring with him is a room full of awards, trophies, and honors. He's the Gatorade Player of the Year in Ohio, which takes academics into consideration when determining the winner. One thing against him, I don't think he knows what the word "commitment" means.
I want as many locals as possible playing right here in the Glass City. I believe we currently have four in the 2017 recruiting class, which is great.

I think the Glass City produces some great FB players. UT has produced
3 All American FB players since 2010. You don't have to leave the City to get national recognition.

According to Scout Michael Warren is the only RB offered in this class! That has to be because UT only wanted him! H could start as a freshmen and really make the local folks in town get excited about UT football. How cool would it be for his family and friends to easily be able to come to every single game and many road games that are within driving distance!

I believe Michael Warren is very concerned about his family. Cinci is a long drive and Minnesota is really a ridiculous long haul. Once he thinks it all over, UT would be the ideal spot. All he has to do is read how Hunt is being taken very seriously as a likely NFL running back to realize playing for Toledo could definitely help him reach the next level.

Well according to 247sports UT has offered 23 RBs for 2017. Now of course, most of those have "committed" to other schools, but there are a couple still open according to them. List includes 3 4 star backs. I agree though that Warren is the one they likely most want, but schools never only make 1 offer at a position.

Just my opinion but Warren choosing Cincinnati over Toledo would be like a Cincinnati hs basketball player choosing Toledo over the Bearcats.

Problem is he's buying into the hype at UC or Minnesota that these new coaches are selling. That they are going to the next level a top 10 program, whatever it is. And these two schools have administration putting their money where their mouth is. Look at Minnesota, new on campus stadium. UC investment in new coaches staff with upgrades in their salary. In our mind UT is a better program than UC, in the minds of recruits and UC staff their selling it differently. We have always had a hard time recruiting Toledo for top prospects, sure we may get one here and there. But, we never consistently recruit well in our home city. We recruit Cleveland, Columbus and Dayton better than we recruit Toledo.

I would hope not but if they want him they need to promise him a game in Toledo within 4 years so he can play in front of his family and friends.

It's so funny that we are buying into message board crap from OSU. Warren said on his social media, he won't make a decision until the 1st.
Personally I don't care what he does. We are so deep at the RB spot, we won't miss him if he decides to follow the used car salesmen.

He's already decommitted twice, right? He may end up at Eastern Michigan yet.

Once a school/coaches get a commitment from the recruit they want. They stop recruiting other players in that position.

Two reasons for that is the inferior complex people from Toledo have, and the schools from "bigger" conferences sell the MAC as an inferior conference.

This was the answer to why UT recruits Cleveland and other cities than it does Toledo
