Marcus Keene for 50
Central Michigan is going to be an interesting team to go up against in the MAC tourney. Keene put up 50 on Miami of Ohio.

Central Michigan is the weirdest team I have ever ever seen. I'm not sure if there has ever been a team like them. The offensive production they can put up is just staggering but man oh man is that defense a special kind of bad

You don't win with a selfish gunner like Keene.

Is it selfish to score 50 when the coach gives you the green light? I wish NIU had a player that was capable of scoring 30 a game......Then there would be less talk about how we can't make 3's. What makes it more impressive is that he's only 5'9 inches tall. ESPN is comparing him to Isaiah Thomas.

And before you make up some excuse for Curry keep in mind he only averaged 2.9 assists per game that year. Keene is averaging 5.3 assists per game right now. Plenty of teams win in college with your so called "selfish gunner"

You guys are undoubtedly too young to know this (plus NIU wasn't in MAC yet-we weren't playing every year) but in 1963-64. we (WMU) averaged 84.8 points per game.

But we gave up 88.3. We lost two games where we scored over 100 points.

Guard Manny Newsome averaged 32.7 ppg. Scored 45 in a game twice, one against Michigan State. Finished third in nation in scoring (Bowling Green's Howie Komives was first).

Bear in mind this was before the advent of the 3-point basket and shot clock.

Its just the pace and shot selection CMU plays with, it just seems totally out of control at times, yet they put up that output on a consistent basis.

Yes, they're like a Hurry-Up No Huddle (HUNH) Football team that tries to get plays off as soon after ball is spotted-ready for play as possible.

Can be exciting when they've got the ball but defense is on the field a lot and often tires out.

People complaining about a guy dropping 50? I'll take him over anyone on our team.

How many does he give up on other end?

Carmelo Anthony is a great scorer. Can't stop water from running uphill (because he refuses to try).

Teams he has played on in The Association show it, haven't won doo-doo.

Let's see where Keene and Chimps finish in March.

Whichever idiot on here called him selfish must have been having a bad day. Keene also had 10 rebounds and 4 assists. I now wish the Huskies had such a selfish player

I would feel a little uneasy if I was a Chips fan though. It would feel like this thing could burst at any time.

If Keene were on NIU instead of Porter you would be looking at a MACC. If NIU had a consistent 17-20pt scorer they would be a top 2 MAC team.

Where's Xavier Silas when you need him?

No chance. Keene does not make anyone around him better. He is fun to watch, but lets stay in reality.

I saw a guy playing this Saturday in Toledo that I would do anything to get on the Huskies, that was Sanford. That kid just might play in the NBA

Sanford had 3 assists and 5 turnovers in the game. Sanford averages 35 minutes and 2.8 assists and 2.0 turnovers a game. Keene in 36 minutes averages 5.2 assists and 4.4 turnovers a game

Couple of things to remember, CMU I am guessing has many more shot attempts and more baskets because they have a chuck it up offense. Also less opportunity for turnovers when you don't go deep into the shot clock
