How about just being happy for the kid that he is playing well.

I'm very happy for him. I genuinely feel bad because he seems like a good kid who's 3/4 through his career and is still stuck at the end of the bench.

I wasn't intending to take a shot; just mentioning he's got such a nice shot it'd be nice if he could play more
