The tomatoes are better, the wine is better, the views are better, the crust is thin with a slight burn on the bottom but still chewy with no crunch. And it gets to your table like 5 minutes after ordering. East coast pizza is pretty good though.

I think some folks are too hung up on the thick crust bearcat. Adriatico's has other crust options. As I mentioned earlier, the traditional hand tossed in restaurant can be over the top good if they hit it right.

Like I said earlier, the crust on an Adriatico's Bearcat beats an ambien for sleep induction.

Except for having to wake up to pop in a couple Tums.

Caasano's is absolutely heinous.

I liked Cassano's too - AS A KID - but the more pizza I had as I got around, I eventually realized, eh - not so much. Probably pretty similar to the LaRosa's sentiment.

Ramundo's in Mount Lookout is my favorite by far.

Went to Ramundo's the other week and it was absolutely terrible. Obviously frozen, lowest quality toppings and cheese. They serve better pizza at Speedway.

Some good newer options are Taglio on Columbia Parkway and Fireside in Walnut Hills.

Larosa's is my go-to bargain/chain pizza.

I had a lot of "Bearcats" in my college days and generally ate them because they were "free". I would never go there on my own. I never thought Cincinnati had a very good pizza scene when I lived there. In my opinion... nothing beats Tommy's or Iacanos here in Columbus.

Columbus has a lot more to offer in terms of pizza choices, that's for sure. Probably because they had a larger number of Italians settle in the area, not to mention more transplants over the years from the east coast.

I disagree with your selection's of Tommy's and Iaconos though. Much better pizza at Rubino's, Hound Dog's, Plank's, Mikey's Late Night Slice, and of course Adriatico's.

Good string; many pizza places mentioned. @ that are no longer around but had great pizza--Zino's on Ludlow(then short vine and Hyde Park) and then Pizza Bob's on Jefferson(before he was ask to retire for shooting at the guy whom robbed the place). Now a day Pizza di Luca in East Gate Mall is good as well. Krimmer's pizza gives Adriatico's a run for its money.02-13-banana

I always liked Adriatico's short term (while I ate it) but despised it long term (when you still tasted it in your mouth for the next 24 hours).

The Adriatico's Bearcat is fine if I have a spare 8 hours afterward to sleep off the dough load.

When I lived up on Bishop St, I used to walk and buy a Bearcat Pizza couple times a month. I would pick Adriatico's for best Pizza...LaRosa's spagehetti and meatballs with the salad was always a good meal to recharge after a night of drinking though. Never cared much for LaRosa's Pizza, Deweys / Pomadori's / Papa Dinos (cholesterol fries 03-cloud9) would be next in line after Adriatico's

One chain pizza I really like is Marco's Pizza. I get the Pepperoni Magnifico, thin crust with extra sauce and extra cheese. Excellent. I had Adriatico's once a LONG time ago, and remember it to be excellent too. Would probably eat it more if there was a location close to me (East Side).

Bishop Street was where all the best people lived.
