RE: Bring back the "new" Big East
Personally, I'd prefer 8X9 - 72 teams, 8 conferences, each playing a round-robin (8-game) schedule with 4 ooc games.

RE: Bring back the "new" Big East
I did 9x9. The 16 teams bumped up are UConn, Temple, Cincy, ECU, UCF, USF, Memphis, SMU, Navy, and Houston from the AAC. SDSU, Boise, Colorado St, Air Force, and New Mexico from the MWC and then BYU. I think that covers basically all the top tier programs and keeps things geographical. Some rivalries get split up like Wisconsin and Minnesota for example but they can play non conference.

I will remove ECU and add Fresno State. North Carolina is too small a state to have five schools in P5/P8.

I can understand the thought of taking Fresno St over East Carolina but I'd still take East Carolina. Nothing against Fresno St, but East Carolina is a no-brainer to me. If you did 81 schools, Fresno St would be in my 82-85 range.
