SMU's 7 is better than any UConn could have trotted out in the beginning of the year. That's a good team.

Ollie has lost the team. Hard to do this since you were so good so recently, but UConn gotta do something differently.
This is a lost year. There's a handful of reasons (or excuses if you prefer the Memphis posters' style of discussion) that would suggest this year's disaster is an anomaly, but you never really know. What I do know is that if he doesn't get it together next year he could very well be the first UConn basketball coach let go in 30 something years.
No excuses. We are doing it with literally 5 players. Suck it up
Memphis literally played 9 guys last night.
You obviously don't pay attention. We threw 9 out their but only the starting 5 can do anything. We have no bench. KJ, Markel, and Jeremiah didn't come out the game last night in the 2nd half. We are literally playing with 5 guys every night. Suck it up.
Kessee is a bust coming from Coppin State
Craig Randall struggles when put on the court
Keon Clergeot is a freshmen
Jake McDowell is a former walkon given scholarship this season.
None of these guys really play at all or contribute much. UConn has 8 guys that can constribute. Your depth is 8 strong. Ours is only 5 with Chad still injured.
...and in today's episode of "the world through Memphis glasses."
Holy smokes.

Quite laughable that UConn fans try to use the depth excuse. You aren't the only team in conference with that problem this season

There's one UConn fan here. How about instead of making generalizations you address my points?

Claiming UConn is 8 deep is laughable. You make excuses for every one of the 9 players that played last night and how it's somehow insignificant, while discounting the fact UConn literally had 7 scholarship players even active last night. Let alone 4 of them were freshman, two of which were never expected to even see the floor this year. But yes - UConn is 8 deep.

How many top 100 players you need to be a competent team? We seem to be doing ok with just 3

I sort of agree but UConn has carried our league since the championship year in 2013/14 and I'm not even counting their record of success while in the Big East. This is a down year for them so I'll cut some slack. UConn will be fine in the long term. Really, it's time for other teams to step up in the AAC to make our league better. UCF is doing just that this year. Tulsa, Houston and Temple need to be more consistent as well. I still believe Dunleavy can turn around Tulane - that would be a bonus for our league.

I guess Memphis' 3 top 100s were better than UConn's 3 top 100s last night.

I feel for UConn. Brimah's head is a mess, and Adams seems frustrated. Hope you guys figure it out and have a good rest of the season (except when you play us).

Connecticut's record in American Conference regular season games is 35-24 (59.3%) and has finished 4th, 6th and 5th in three years in the conference standings. They have never been "so good" in the regular season. They have, however, shined in the postseason (14-4 record)....

SMU has the most conference wins in the last 2 1/2 seasons. Frustrating there has been zero postseason to speak of due to a ban and a fluke call.
