Looks like his foot is slightly off the ground at the heel and therefore not touching the line.

However, I have a wider angle/view. There is 0% chance the referee could see that.

To him it would HAVE to APPEAR as out of bounds, whether it was or not.

It is what it is though.

Great fact checking there, Houston Chronicle. 04-chairshot 01-lauramac2

Figured that a lost lead at the half would translate to big loss at the end. My surprise to see an OT win this AM. I'll take the W, but wasn't impressed with Houston. Was very pleased to see KJ break out with scoring and rebounding. At 14-5, I'm thinking that regular season 21 wins is a possibility. That should be good enough for an NCAA bid, if Tigers avoid a first-game loss in AAC Tournament.

There's very little chance of a NCAA at large bid for us. We would pretty much have to run the table. Very few good wins and some bad losses doomed us. Currently we are 70 on Kenpom and 68 on Sagarin.

Houston is a much better team than they showed last night. Our best win by a fairly wide margin (don't even bring up defenseless Iowa). I predict they will finish in the top 4 of AAC and will be a factor in tourney. Knowles and Grey had been playing better than what I saw last night.

Depth is going to be a huge detriment for us with first round bye; unthinkable without it.

Just rewatched the game. I feel worse than ever about the state of athletic officiating.

TV ted must be proud of himself.

Terrible refereeing. Simply terrible. Yes Ted was the pits

Near the end of the game he calls that charging foul when it was an obvious block. He was about to call a block and then hesitated. Isn't Ted Valentine the same bozo who botched the out of bounds call on Kansas in the '08 title game?

He's looking right at it but swallows his whistle ..........

That is not Valentine, it is Hightower, who was a good referee but he overthought a few things in that game which did not help, neither did missing four consecutive free throws in the final moments.

I just keep imagining all the swallowed whistles, and where they go... and then what happens.

That's almost as good as those goofs doing the previous game. They mentioned that the Lawson boys were twins....
