Ok, is this serious?

Just saw on Facebook that Hampton left WMU. That can't be true.

Butch Hampton, our kicker? That wouldn't make sense, he was on a real roll down the stretch.

Maybe that's why Lester is in heap big hurry to sign a kicker?

I heard the same thing. Wants to play soccer back home or something.

Strange, if true.

How many kids go from true frosh starting kicker playing in the Cotton Bowl to....transferring home to play soccer?

RE: Hampton
Fleck had this team convinced that WMU had nothing before they came together. No tradition. No winning.

Then we hire almost all former staff.

I wonder if this is tied a little bit to missing that extra point in the Cotton Bowl? He get a lot of anger from degenerate gamblers.

Too bad if Hampton is leaving. I met him, nice kid and a great kicker! I wondered why PJ would try to sign a kicker. And I wondered even more why TL would fly down to TX to try to seal the deal which is where he is right now.

5 star kicker with a head case after the cotton bowl is more like a no star kicker...

Not sure if serious......I highly doubt 1 missed extra point made him give up the sport. If he was that fragile, no way he performs the way he did all season.

Probably wouldn't be just that. But it could be part of it, along with a head coach leaving, being far from home. Who knows?

When did PJ line up the new kicker recruit from TX? Pretty sure it was before the Cotton Bowl was played.

At any rate, really sorry to see Butch leave the program. He showed his first season that he was a Bronco through and through.

Whatever happens Butch never forget your time at WMU. You made your permanent stamp on our program, you will always be a Bronco. I wish you the best!

Sad to see Hampton go, he was clutch, huge reason why we won the MACC.

He was clutch in the MACC game... he doesn't nail some of those FG's we don't go to Dallas.
