RE: CUSA Player Of The Year Race In Uncharted Territory
Transfers are such a part of college basketball now, especially at the CUSA level, I think that a transfer player will have just as much of a chance as a home grown player. It's player of the year, not awarded based on a career.

I suspect that unless a statistical leader is far and away better than anyone else, it will be the best player on the best team. Either Upshaw at MTSU or Lee at UAB would be my two early picks. And based on how Upshaw dominated UAB, unless MTSU falls on his face, he would be my vote at this point.

Upshaw is my pick. In the past they've given outstanding transfers newcomer of the year (Chad Frazier).
