You noted that Erik McCree transferred from Murrary State without playing a game for Murrary. But didn't do the same for Elmore. Jon never played a min at VMI.

Yes, definitely shouldn't work against Elmore at all. Had 27-5-6 against WKU. Fun game to watch, MU tied a conference record with 19 threes.

A conference and school record, Before the 19 3s vs WKU the last time Marshall hit 19 was Dec 14th 1996 vs Morehead State. And then 15 of those 3s were by Keith Veney (241 3s in 2 years), who Austin Loop just past in the WKU game. Loop now has 244 and is 8 3s away from breaking Tamar Slay's 251. Loop is also only 65 points away from the 1,000 point club. Considering Loop only scored 41 points and played only 75 mins under Herrion his Freshman year is pretty remarkable.

Speaking of transers --- whatever happened to the Marshall transfer to Auburn ? I think he got kicked off at Auburn, correct ?

Kareem Canty as talented as anyone in CUSA or any other conference was not retained by D'Antoni because of his twitter rant when Herrion was fired. He went on a rant about Huntington and Marshall. When D'Antoni was hired he told Canty he was not needed and was dismissed from the program. From what I heard Canty begged D'Antoni more than once to stay.

Canty showed up at Auburn and set out the 14-15 season, where he was suspended off the bench for 4 games in 14-15. And played in 14 games at Auburn before Bruce Pearl dismissed him from the program for violation of team rules.

You know it has to be pretty bad when Pearl dismisses you. It was a blessing in disguise really. Had Canty not went on his twitter rant, he would have been a Sr this year and we most likely don't get Jon Elmore as a transfer.
