That John Cooper system showing our wet paper bag defense again. Kudos to Keene though, it's impressive to drop 50 on anyone no matter who it is.

I was watching that game and it largely wasn't anything Miami's defense did wrong, it was just that Keene was in a zone like I've never personally seen from a college player. There was nothing Miami could've done to stop him. At least four of the 3s were with a defender right in his face. When he's hitting like that, it opened up lanes to drive and there is nobody in the league who can stay in front of him.
Truly an amazing performance.
I wonder if he will come back next year or declare for the NBA Draft. I don't see why he wouldn't declare, since his height is the biggest knock and that's not something he can "improve on." I just don't think he could raise his NBA stock any higher than what it already is. Plus, somebody will take a chance on him in the second round ... Cavs took Kay Felder last year hoping he could become an Isaiah Thomas (Celtics) type; I think somebody will also do the same with Keene.

I agree to an extent, but it's not shocking when it always just happens to a team like Miami. When you're a bad team under a bad coach, these kinds of performances where 'there was nothing Miami could've done to stop him' add up, though not to this extent really. Yesterday had more to do with Keene than usual, but there's still a host of opposing players with career days against Miami the past five seasons.
Similarly on the offensive side of the ball, we've had a laundry list of transfers come into Oxford and their FG and three-point percentages fall ten percent or so. It's not magic, it's a program with no direction.
