I may take some heat for this for not having thicker skin but it was a politically charged post. I respect your politics and opinion but you should just admit that it was and move on. It doesn't take away from the cause or mean that the band shouldn't garner our support but your message was your message and I'm not surprised that it elicited a reaction from some people the same way that if someone had posted something from the other side and talked about gun toting right wingers or racists it would have probably been responded to.

My personal preference on this board would be that the only Lefty that we discuss is Driesell. As for the Band- smart move by them to go on shows like O'Reilly to get publicity. For obvious reasons they will be used as an example by the Republican party. I hope they allocate the extra money to good causes.

Come on. You're either clueless or disingenuous and I'm pretty sure you're not clueless. You knew starting a topic where you say "left wing nutjob" and mention Clinton's deplorables comment that you were making this a political topic. I was proud of our own Jim Acosta for standing up to a bully last week at Trump's press conference but knew it would devolve into posters arguing over politics so I never created a thread about him.

I see our conservative posters interject their political opinion into lots of topics here, especially since Alger was hired. I'm sure we have plenty of posters that are more liberal but I rarely see them bringing it up in topics that have nothing at all to do with what politics. As others have said, we do have a political board here for those discussions. Otherwise I'm sure 99% of us come here to talk JMU sports.
