High school rankings question..
How is TJ Moss ranked ahead of Lomax? If Moss is supposed to be a great shooter, I'm not seeing it the three times I've watched East play.

RE: High school rankings question..
Yeah, Moss did not impress me at all the last 2 nights. Maybe, he just had a bad weekend, but he did not look like a shooter.

Regarding the ranking comparison, I guess 6'8" > 5'11".

Chandler Lawson looked pretty good - nice shooting touch and ability to score, ESPECIALLY when you consider that he is just a sophomore. I am not sure whether he will be ready to jump after junior year. He has the skills, but he just looks young physically like he may get 3-4" taller and a lot stronger.

RE: High school rankings question..
it's all about where you start out ranked when your class rankings first come out

Moss was in ESPN's top 25 whereas Lomax wasn't in any ranking

agree it's perception and in this case, ignorance

remember, Chandler was #1 by some a couple years ago

RE: High school rankings question..
Rankings are also based on potential. TJ Moss is seen as having a higher ceiling than Lomax. Andre Allen was once the best 8th grader in America, but not so much by HS graduation. Andre wasn't a bad player at all, but his potential wasn't as high as it was in the 8th grade. On the other hand, Adonis Thomas was rated number 1 in his Sr. year because potentially as an athlete, he could dominate at his projected position. Didn't mean he possessed number 1 skills yet but he was projected to develop them hence the ranking.

I'd always heard that Moss was a PG.

So maybe he is playing out of position at SG or maybe he's just had some off games?

It's also largely based on what they do in the summer.
