What JMU FB was the most enjoyable for you personally? Whether it be a specific rival you hate or a player or a reason or what?

For me, I go back and forth between the 2014 UR game @ UR and the Soft Houston State game. I think I have to pick Soft Houston because it was just so dominant. It was an amazing tailgate on Friday night on ESPN2 and Soft Houston fans had talked SO MUCH **** beforehand. Like, impressive amount of **** talking. And then we couldn't miss in any aspect of the game. 65-0 after 3. No TDs for Briscoe. Just complete and utter dominance.

What say you?

Have to be NDSU. Ending their 5 year reign at the Fargodome and the experience of being there. Doesn't get any better. Championship game was anticlimactic.

The 2014 game at UR was magic. They were humbled so badly and there were no spatter fans remaining by the end.

This year the NDSU game was the biggest but the SHSU game was so much fun. Such an overhyped team completely dominated to the point where it was just hysterical and sad. The game at UR was also highly satisfying because it was the defining point that we can finally beat good teams and shut the "soft early schedule" critics up.

The top 3 were pretty hard to decide on for me.

If I had to pick one, which is impossible but I'm all about doing the impossible, I'm going with the NDSU win. Not saying it's the biggest or most important win we've ever had, but if the question is "most enjoyable", the combination of being one of 600 road warriors, being the underdog, the atmosphere, the importance, and the outcome make it my most enjoyable.

The victory in Fargo is definitely the most enjoyable one I've witnessed.

I think for me as a younger fan the top two for me are actually from this year. Both the NDSU game because of the importance behind it and then also the SHSU game after watching it just being a pummeling on national tV

Yikes - I did it twice. I guess all those states we played in December.

App St. down 21 - 0 at half...Landers/McGee & Hollaman (spelling) come back was a good one.

App State 2008 at BFS. Still think it was the greatest college FB game I have seen. Although Frisco and Tech come in close!!

2008 @ Richmond, totally dominated by JMU fans. Scotty returns the punt. Ahh the memories.

Virginia is number 1 for me. NDSU is number 2 though I wasn't there.

My Top 3:

1. Win at VT
2. Win at NDSU
3. Win at Richmond in 2014 when Vad decimated them.

Lots of recency bias, which is understandable, so I'll dig up a game from many years ago. I don't know that it's my absolute favorite, but still a great memory.

In 1993 Delaware was coming into BFS undefeated and highly ranked. Maybe 2nd in the country. Up until that point in the season JMU had gone back and forth between two QBs. Mike Cawley and someone else whose name I forget. The story goes that Rip watched them warm up the day of the game and something in his gut said to go with Mike. Well, Mike went off on the Blue Hens that day. There wasn't much defense to be had and it turned into a slug fest with each team trading scores back and forth. One team would go up and the other would come back to tie or lead. Finally, late in the game we were trailing but had gotten the ball back. Mike led the team down the field and punched the ball over the goal line with about ten seconds left on the clock. JMU won and Mike solidified himself as the starter for the rest of his JMU career.

It has to be the NDSU semi final game at Fargo. The crowd noise and putting an end to their 6th National championship dreams. It was awesome to be there!

I forget which game it was but I remember as a kid the student section storming the field and tearing down the north endzone goal post. Was it a Cawley to Brooks TD to win it late in the game...mid 90s?! It was crazy cool for a ~8 yr old kid.

Surprised no one is picking Frisco. For me it's a really tough call between Frisco and the 2008 game at the old Bridgeforth East. Richmond was awesome the way we took over their stadium as usual, it was a rivalry game, and of course the way we came back and topped it off when Scotty ripped their hearts out. The way the crowd went absolutely insane was maybe the best sports moment of my life.

Frisco was just a great showing for our fanbase and the best JMU team ever finishing the job for a much deserved national championship. We had great people around us from all over the U.S., practically the whole stadium was purple, the amount of streamers was insane, nobody ever sat down at any point. We turned the whole damn Toyota Stadium 1,200 miles from Harrisonburg in to one huge Bridgeforth section 109 then got to storm the field at the end of the day.

I picked Frisco.

Anytime you can cap off a magical season with a Natty and the game is never in doubt from wire to wire, that the game for me.
