That is huge. Other than having to play against him, I am very happy for the Toppers.

Looking forward to seeing in him on campus, in a uniform, on the court next this coming winter.

Very exciting. I forgot the selection show was last night.... for the first time, I can't wait to watch the McDonald all American game

I'll wait until I see him in a WKU uniform on the court before I get excited.

Its true. I hope the best for the WKU. A recruit like that shows what is possible in CUSA. But these things always seem to fall apart somehow for schools not in the P5.

Yeah, this extra accolade could put him on another program's radar. Hopefully he'll stick with WKU... or decide he really wants a challenge and come to USM.

We had a Parade All American at USM once upon a time, Glenn Whisby. Kid could almost touch the top of the Yurt. Only problem was he couldn't catch, hold or shoot a basketball.

We had a Parade All American at USM once upon a time, Glenn Whisby. Kid could almost touch the top of the Yurt. Only problem was he couldn't catch, hold or shoot a basketball.

Says something about the relevance and accuracy of Parade Magazine, I'd imagine.

Well, even Glenn Whisby averaged a double-double his last college season, and apparently he's the Metro conference all-time career leader in 2pt field goals. I'm picturing a sort of pleb-tier version of Shaq.

Weird to see WKU with a McDonald's All American, but this is norm for Stansbury, he has now signed 6 MCDonald's All Americans....Also CUSA got some pub when they showed the conferences these kids are going too...This is CUSA first selection since Shaq Goodwin from Memphis in 2012 for CUSA..Like Kermit said after our game Saturday, CUSA needs WKU to be good and relevant again...Only will help the conference if we can play at a high level...

This might come off like I'm taking a shot at Stans, but I really don't mean it that way, but I'd love to know what he says to these recruits that is so different than what every other coach says. No offense to anyone here, if my son was a true 5* player, there isn't a chance in hell he's be signing with any team in a one-bid league.

Now, here, I will take a shot at Stans. He can recruit all the talent he wants, he still has to learn how to actually coach them.

Josh Pastner made a great name for himself not being able to coach with superb talent in CUSA.

If I was the coach at WKU, what would I say?

Simple; come to WKU, we have some of the best facilities in the country. We won't win a national championship probably ever, but you will be making millions of dollars after one year, since you won't have to ride the bench at a blueblood school for a year or two, and risk possible injury. I can guarantee you a spot in the NBA faster/more likely than any other school.

And yeah, I do agree Stans coaching ability is very underwhelming thus far at WKU, and at his previous stop as HC at Miss St. But in C-USA, with top 10 talent in the country, I don't think coaching ability is going to matter all too much in the long run.

Hell, give me (someone who knows little about X-O's) a team of 5 and 4 stars, and I bet I could content for a conference championship every year! Haha

Yeah, you have to talk about coming to a WKU and being a legend or just being another 5* playing at Kansas, who might not stand out. Bring up how WKU has NBA players, Courtney Lee was a first round pick. Plus talk about how one of the best - if not the best - player in the NBA, Stephon Curry went to Davidson. Basically talking about how don't need to go to a Kansas or Duke to be successful at the next level. Really these arguments work for any CUSA school.

WKU can add things like tradition, fan base, great facilities, commitment to winning with the administration, etc.
