I'm guessing we'll be about a 10 point favorite Tuesday and say 5 or 6 point underdog @Akron.

RE: Game Week: WMU and @Akron
Similar to last week, I think the Tuesday game is crucial. We have to take care of WMU on our home court before the big game against Akron.
This feels like a trap game to me. It's sandwiched between an emotional win on the road against a tough Ohio team, and a potential battle for first place overall in the conference on Friday. Western isn't that great, but they can definitely score and Thomas Wilder is one of the two best players in the league, in my opinion. We HAVE to bring our A-game tomorrow night, and we've bounced back well from poor offensive performances so far this season. Still, I'm worried about a let down.

Excellent point about trap game.
I mentioned that our game Saturday was a trap game for Ohio (before their game with Akron).

I have a feeling WMU fans won't like them.
Maybe they should not have a mascot with drunk eyes then.
That mascot might be a metaphor of what the Broncos might look like tomorrow at the end of the game...
Dazed, confused, bewildered...

It would really be nice to have 300 students at the game. The kids really have no idea what they're missing. What happened to the crowd that was at that Toledo game at the end of last season?
The athletic department needs to pull out all stops to get as many kids as possible to the arena. Buses shirts, whatever. Get them in, give them a good show, and hope they come back.

They should have put a picture of a sinking boat on the T-shirt.
It's going to be fun giving WMU a good whoopin tomorrow!!!

Wooden and Luckey,
Last year Luckeyone brought up the idea of a grassroots effort to boost attendance for a game. I think the three of us committed to buy 20 tickets each ($100 at the bulk rate) and get our friends and family to attend. We were also talking about distributing fliers, making mention of the game on Facebook, etc. Coordinate this with
some AD/Eaglenation efforts with the students and who knows... the convo might fill the lower bowl.
Are you guys up for trying this again this year? I was thinking the Akron game on Saturday Feb 11. Let me know what you guys think. Or anyone else on this board for that matter.

As per the student section, tonight's game is a white out.

Yes, great point Sam! The Ohio win demonstrated that we are contenders, however, if we are going to actually WIN the MAC, we've got to take care of business tonight! Great teams are consistent.....And I've placed our team at the good level but not great yet.

I predicted EMU to finish 12 - 6.
I'll guess Akron goes 13 - 5 or maybe 14 - 4.
Expect a lot of upsets in the MAC this season. There isn't a 16 - 2 team in the conference.
