Vegas has this as a Pick 'Em. Elon comes into the Convo at 2-3 in the CAA, having won their last 2 at home after starting 0-3.

The Phoenix is the opposite of what the Dukes saw Thursday night against the defensive-minded, low-scoring Charleston bunch. Elon averages scoring 77 pts a game and is coming off a 96-80 home win over Hofstra.

Elon is a small team that embraces its strengths and launches 3pt shots like few other teams this year. They have attempted more 3pt shots than all but 8 teams in the nation and their offensive sets will remind you of how JMU played last year. Both of their bigs are excellent at playing the pick n pop game which stretches the floor and opens up opportunities for everyone else.
Elon doesn't have a ton of athletes, but they are fun to watch playing this game known as basketball. Putting the biscuit in the basket has a value much higher than any other skill.

We'll see if Rowe ever decides to change his ways. Or he may be stubborn and stick with his "effort and energy " defense mindset while leading a disjointed and clunky offense.

Unfortunately, it looks like transfer guards Holmes and Johnson aren't going to be much help this year. Overall they've both been a disappointment for a team that needs better guard play.

I'd like to see Holmes get some more game experience, take care of the basketball and actually drive to the basket. He's a good rebounder. As of now, he isn't a threat enough for any opponent to worry about him on offense and this team needs more scorers.

Game comes at a perfect time. 2 hours to watch. Unfortunately the Madizone slide show is making it impossible. NFL time, I guess.

Dukes down 35-30 at the half and it looks like they didnt pay attention to the scouting report. Elon is raining 3's, many of which were uncontested.
The offense is struggling again against a mediocre defense as Rowe is still coaching these players to dribble drive even though that isn't their strength

Dukes have been trailing most of the game and just do not have enough offense to take the lead. Lots of fruitless possessions when down by 2 or 3

One extra good guard would make all the difference. Kent would be much better at small forward replacing the undynamic duo of Snowden/Brown.

I've nevet seen any team get called for so many offensive fouls.

Nice finish. This team plays hard, which is all you can ask really. Should have a chance come tournament to e to win a game.
