My thoughts on the man haven't changed since he was hired and goes back to Bama. He can recruit but can't coach his way out of a wet paper bag.

He's definitely feeling the heat. He got this far with coaching changes.

I remember my five years of coaching middle-school ball back in the 80s. I was the worse coach you could imagine for four years. Then that last year I had four boys that had been retained in elementary school, one smart slow point guard, and a tall skinny boy I could bring off the bench. I was favorably compared to Dean Smith that year. HaHa When Gottfried gets the recruits at the level of Ole' Roy and Coach K he will look like a genius.

Kevin Keatts (UNC-Wilmington) seems like a logical pick for NC State, no?
