At this stage of the Sunbelt's development this is not a good idea. Maybe after we end the season with 2 or 3 ranked teams for a few years, but not yet.

Neutral Site Football Championship Proposal
For neutral site to work the stadium would have to hold 35k or less, the city would have to be a bulletproof travel destination and be close to the center of the footprint and an airline hub. There are no options that fit that. Memphis is likely as close as you get.

It would. Stadium is a bit large at 61k. But could work.

It should be at the #1 seed school. Anything else for this league is foolish.

Actually I wasn't serious. It should be at one of the participants. Hopefully we could get folks to watch.

I agree that the best team should host, but I say if we were going to do it then it needs to be one site that is in the middle of both east and west, that to me would be Jackson, Mississippi. Keep the host one spot and one spot only. Holds 50,000. http://www.jsums.edu/dome/

Looks nice on the outside and it would be a fairly short drive for most of the Belt teams and their fans but other than the title game what else is there to do in Jackson, MS to entertain people beforehand?

JMO but if you are going to use a neutral site to hold the league title game it needs to be in a tourist type destination such as New Orleans. Unfortunately New Orleans would be too much of a homefield advantage for the Louisiana teams if one of them is involved in it so neutrality goes out the window there. Orlando, FL. would be the better option of being a neutral site but then you would have the travel distance for most of the teams being the drawback there.

Right now the best option is to just play the game at the field of the team with the best conference record and if there is a tie the first tie-breaker is best overall record. If another tie-breaker is still needed then it goes by SOS rating. Again, jmo.

We need more fans in the conference, not less. Don't send the ones you care about to Memphis.

A stadium that doesn't exist in a city nobody wants to visit.

It should rotate between Jonesboro and Boone. Rotation based on better record in the league, then highest ranked to break tie.
