Why? Just to split the football pie more? 12 no longer needed for a championship game if wanted, but this year was a good example of why it shouldn't be wanted.

Why? Just to split the football pie more? 12 no longer needed for a championship game if wanted, but this year was a good example of why it shouldn't be wanted.

LR and UTA are two of the better basketball programs. LR is clearly the best women's BB program. Both are in medium to big media markets. No way the Sun Belt dumps those two schools.

10/12 is a great format outside the oddity that USA will likely be Eastern Division in everything except football and Western Division in football.

I can't see expansion unless Wichita State calls or two of Missouri State, Chattanooga or James Madison. NMSU might be in the mix if JMU or Chattanooga calls.

ahh, the word around here in Arlington tx, will announce in 2018 possiable bring back football..if approve then maybe eku is next but jmu is almost 100% stay in caa and chattangoona is little interest move to fbs and Wichita state maybe take... who know.

If we are looking at EKU to deal with UTA adding football, I'd rather UTA not add football.

They are in the Lexington media market so they are an annoyance to cover. Most of the population within an hour's drive is closer to UK than EKU.

That's just not the formula to build a really good program.
