We are on a 7 game winning streak, good for 9th longest in the country I believe. ESPN has us at #69 in RPI. Some impressive results recently, but upcoming are two teams we've always played close.

Home against Drexel needs to be a win. At this point a loss would be really disappointing. The team has showed they are capable of great performances, and hopefully the duds are all behind us. It won't be easy, never is vs. Drexel.

Towson is an interesting one. They looked pretty good OOC, but have not had the results since new years. Don't know what to make of this one, but I think this should be a win as well. I haven't watched them play at all this season yet, so the tourney game last year is what I remember them like.

Pomeroy projects us as about 12.5 point favorites tonight vs. Drexel, vegas has us at 9.5 points. Let's see what we are made of.

Computers put us as a 1.5 point favorite @ Towson Saturday as of now. There might be ice down there on Saturday morning, hope the team gets in to Baltimore on Friday.

12-12 at the under 12min media timeout. Boursiquot gets rocked on a foul by Rodney Williams. Went down hard, scary fall, that's how I torn a labrum in my shoulder! Hope he's okay.

Down 23-19 less than 9min left in 1st. Drexel looks more comfortable on offense. They are getting wide opens threes and draining them. Our 3's look rushed in comparison. We need to step it up here.

12-0 run, kind of a weird feeling, because I felt like Drexel has still been decent on offense and rebounding. Score now 31-25 Huskies up 4 minutes left in 1st half.

38-32 NU at the half, NU's biggest lead was 10, Drexel's was 6. Bourisquot with 3 fouls.

Lee looks pretty fast and dynamic for Drexel but a little out of control. He'll be pretty good over the next couple seasons.

Need to see more out of Green this game.

Weird game, didn't think we played that well, but 17 point win. 92-75

TJ 30-7-8 line, Begley 16 points 9 assists, Maxim with a double double 17 pts 11 reb.

Towson blew out Delaware, that should be a big test.

5-0 is a nice conference start, but let's not forget we've had an easy schedule so far. 3 games vs. winless teams and 2 at home vs. decent CAA teams. We don't play UNCW or Charleston until February.

You play who's on your schedule. NU has no control over who's playing well and who is not.

There's no need whatsoever to remind anyone about the schedule thus far and considering who we have defeated non conference, this team should fear no one.

Right now it's a 3 team race. We'll worry about UNCW and CofC when the time comes.

So be happy.

I'd be happier if Anthony was showing more progress. Not much to show for twenty minutes on the floor. We'll need more from him against the better teams. Solid game for the five guys that DID scote, though.

Green is fine. Drexel and Rodney Williams are a tough matchup for him.

Williams is a 6-7 athletic post player. Green's just not that nimble to stay out on the floor with him for long stretches.

I expect him to do just fine against Towson. A team that likes to crash the boards and most of their scorers play in the paint.

I'll try to be patient but I have to say that it's his lack of aggressiveness that concerns me. How many times did Williams or Begley take a rebound away from him? I saw at least three where he barely got off the floor and his teammates went up and got it. And when he gets the ball under the basket two out of three times he threw up weak layups that weren't even close. Didn't play like someone who is bigger and three inches taller than everyone else on the court.

Green is not polished around the basket. That's what he'll need to work on in the offseason.

Again he's only a sophomore. We don't need him to score a lot this year.

Agreed. I'd be happy if just pulled down five rebounds a game and blocked an occassional shot....and stopped shooting unless he can jam it.

Vegas has Towson as 2 point favorites today, computers have NU as a 1 point favorite. This will be a great road test today. Let's go Huskies!

Not a good start. Towson getting clean looks on offense, NU getting nothing. Towson up 18-7. Towson's in your face defense is causing ball handling/passing problems for our players.

25-9, this is a rout right now. Need to get it under control. Get into halftime down less than 10 will give the Huskies a little momentum.

29-18, looking better now, around 4 minutes left in the 1st. We are the kings of illegal picks this season. I feel like we must have two called against us every game.

Towson up 39-29 at the half. We simply can't stop them inside without fouling. Really miss having another tall player like Miller this game.

TJ makes our 1st 3 pointer at the end of the half. Pretty ugly, need better ball movement. Towson is giving us no space.

2nd half has been nothing but lag and blurry pictures on the Towson stream. Doesn't seem any better for our players. Towson extends the lead early.
